A Benediction Service is held on the Second Sunday of Each Month at 5pm in the Main Church 

800th Anniversary of the Transitus of St. Francis*

12 p.m. - Mass (Lower Church)
1 p.m. - Documentary “Franciscan Saints on the Eucharist”
2:15 p.m. - Spiritual talk on St. Francis by Fr. Joseph Mary, MFVA
3 p.m. - Confessions
3:30 p.m. - Franciscan Crown Rosary
4:30 p.m. - Transitus Service

The Transitus, a candlelight service, consists of Solemn Vespers and Benediction commemorating the passing of Saint Francis from this life to eternal life.

*Those who travel to the Shrine for the 800th Jubilee can obtain a plenary indulgence by fulfilling the requirements set by the Holy See.
